We are a small parish in the Staffordshire Moorlands, six miles from the centre of Stoke-on-Trent and six miles from the market town of Leek. A warm, friendly village church with lots going on
The parish is mostly residential with some farms.There is a country park at Consall and many beautiful walks. The Churnet Valley Railway also passes through the parish with a station at Consall.
We have three schools in the parish, St.John's, a church controlled primary school; Cicely Haughton School (a special-needs school); and Moorside High School. There is a village post office,a filling station with a shop and one pub in the village. There is a pre-school play group that meets in the village hall. There is also a Methodist Church with whom we worship each month. Many other activities happen in the village hall including the WI and Rainbows, Brownies and Guides.

Sunday
Simple said service using traditional language.
Every Sunday at 8:00 AM for 40 minutes
For Mums and Dads and young families. Half an hour of fun including songs, stories, prayers and activities.
Term time only, starting again in September. every first and third Sunday at 10:00 AM for ½ hour
Our main Sunday Service, usually Common Worship Communion. Refreshments served after the Service.
Every Sunday at 10:45 AM for 1 hour
Once a month our evening service is Holy Communion. Two Sundays in the month it is Evensong. Every third Sunday it is a united service either in Church or in the Methodist Chapel in Wetley Rocks.
Every Sunday at 6:30 PM for 1 hour
Monday
Open to All SISters, a ladies fellowship for spiritual refreshment and mutual encouragement. Sometimes with a guest speaker.
Every first Monday at 2:00 PM for 1½ hours
Our youth group. Meeting every other Monday in St. John's School, Wetley Rocks.
Every 2 weeks except school holidays. every first third and fifth Monday at 7:30 PM for 2 hours
Tuesday
A drop-in for babies, toddlers and their parents/minders every Tuesday morning in church from 9am in term-time and 10am in school holidays..
Every Tuesday at 9:00 AM for 2 hours
Wednesday
An informal service with short Bible study. Coffee and chat afterwards.
Every week but check notice board on lychgate for any variations every Wednesday at 10:00 AM for 1 hour
Our choir meet every week to prepare for Sunday Services and learn new music for special Services.
Every Wednesday at 7:30 PM for 1½ hours

Every Wednesday at 7:30 PM for 2 hours
Saturday
Brothers Ready to Eat And Discuss. A monthly meeting for men featuring breakfast, fellowship, prayer and often a guest speaker. Usually meets the first Saturday of every month either in St. John's Church or in the Methodist Church on the Main Road.
Every first Saturday at 9:30 AM for 2 hours
Healing prayer meeting including worship, Bible study and prayer for the sick.
Second and fourth Saturdays each month. Not meeting in December. every second and fourth Saturday at 9:30 AM for 1 hour
