WHITELEY CHURCH is a modern church that meets in the local Community Centre. There are current plans to build on a piece of land earmarked in Whiteley Community.
Gary and Lorraine are a husband and wife ministry team in a church that welcomes families, and which has dedicated leaders in the Little Fishes Sunday School. We have crèche facilities within the church service and a quiet room if that is needed. Our services range through Wake up & Shake up (for children) to a monthly Celebration (non communion) and we have Communion twice a month. We also have an evening service of quiet and reflection.
There is a lively Worship Group and we sing modern songs and traditional hymns as appropriate. We have various styles of small groups. Our Families Worker helps us to link up with the local community and the school, and we have many activities organised for families in the area.
We are a church that likes food, and sometimes have Breakfast services and Café style services at our Celebration. There is a monthly Men’s Breakfast and also the Open Door Café which meets in the community centre on Tuesday mornings (term time only).
Whiteley Church also enjoys many social activities which they share with the community. Our aim is to ‘Create a Community with the Love of God at its Heart’
