St Catherine’s is a welcoming and inclusive church.
The building of St Catherine’s Church is a beautiful and peaceful building which is an ideal location for Baptisms, Weddings (including Sunday weddings), Weddings Blessings, and celebrations of Wedding Anniversaries. The Church is also available for funerals.
We keep the church building open all day for people to visit and for people who need somewhere to sit and pray.
We are a child friendly church with a Family Service at 9.30 am, a midweek parent and toddler club (called Edward Bear Club) each Wednesday beginning at 1.30 pm with a child friendly service in church, and special facilities for children at our 11.00 am Eucharist Service.
Everyone is welcome to come and join us for our services in church.
We also have close links with Wickford Church of England Infant School.
We aim to put our faith into action by enabling our church community to be inclusive of anyone who wishes to attend, and by reaching out into the local community by being good neighbours.
We also aim to affirm relationships and family life in their various forms. Also our Mother's Union are committed to supporting marriage, relationships, and family life.

Every Sunday at 8:00 AM for ¾ hour
This is an informal service especially with children in mind.
Every Sunday at 9:30 AM for ¾ hour
Every Sunday at 11:00 AM for 1 hour
Every first second and third Sunday at 6:30 PM for ½ hour
St Andrew's Church, Wickford - This Healing Eucharist offers the opportunity to pray for those who are sick, and for the Laying on of Hands.
Every third Sunday at 6:30 PM for 1 hour
Every fourth Sunday at 6:30 PM for 1 hour
Every fifth Sunday at 6:30 PM for 1 hour
At St Mary's Church, Runwell - "Be still and know that I am God". This is an opportunity to come and be still before God.
