St Swithun-upon-Kingsgate

St Swithun’s is probably the only remaining active church above a medieval gate in England, a unique 'upper room' where services are held weekly at 6pm. Services are also available to watch on YouTube – please see our website for details of how to join in. All are welcome.
St Swithun-upon-Kingsgate is a chapel-of-ease to the parish church of St Lawrence.

All are welcome to join the Ministry Team on Fridays for the Office of Morning Prayer.
Morning Prayer on weekdays is from the Church of England publication “Common Worship – Daily Prayer”. We have copies of the printed book in church, but people with smartphones generally use the Daily Prayer app which provides the prayers and readings for each day.
