Mobile Phone Mast
Consultation on proposed installation of mobile phone mast in Windsor Parish Church
Windsor Parish Church has been approached by a telecommunications company who wish to install a base station antenna in the tower, to improve the signal for mobile phone users in the town centre. This could be of benefit to local residents, people who work in the town centre and visitors to Windsor. The church would receive an annual payment from the operator, for the duration of a 20 year agreement. The church has given in-principle approval for detailed plans to be drawn up.
There will be a period of intensive consultation during which the Parochial Church Council and planning authorities will seek the views of all those who live or work near to the Parish Church, members of the congregation and regular users of the church, before deciding whether this project should proceed.
The planning consultation is now being conducted by Waldon Telecom on behalf of O2 and Vodaphone.
The proposed installation should not change the external appearance of the church. Details are on display inside the church and more information can be obtained from Juliet Baller at juliet.baller@waldontelecom.com or 01932 411026.
Please do let us know what you think about the proposals. Feel free to speak with Michael Harding (churchwarden) or Ainsley Swift (Priest in Charge), or write to Juliet Baller at Waldon Telecom (contact details above). Thank you.
