The standard of St George was not flying over the Parish Church of St John the Baptist in Windsor on St George's Day last year and it will not be flying in April this year either.

Inspections of the tower have indicated some movement of the parapets and a full survey found several areas needing urgent attention, including the flagpole mounting.  The cost of restoration is estimated at £47,000 plus VAT and the PCC has launched a major fundraising campaign.
