We are a traditional Church of England parish, in the Deanery of Eccles, which is now in the new Archdeaconry of Salford.
We are a traditional Anglo-Catholic church, and are a member of Forward in Faith. We offer daily services throughout the week, starting with Solemn Mass on a Sunday at 10am.
The parish has passed the all three resolutions under the Priest's Ordination Measure 1992. And therefore our sacramental and pastoral care is undertaken by the Bishop of Beverley, one of the three Provincal Episcopal Visitors within the Church of England who looks after the traditional Anglicans.
There has been a church dedicated to St Mary Magdalene on the site since the start of the last century and while the years have changed the physical appearance of the church, it remains first and foremost a living, vibrant community offering witness in the catholic tradition as part of the Body of Christ, principally through the Eucharist and the preaching of the Gospel.
