Benefice Missioner

Andrew is a Church Army Officer and one of three Pioneer Ministers in the diocese of St Edmundsbury and Ipswich, working as Benefice Missioner and responsible for overseeing outreach projects like Café Church, Elevenses, the Town Pastor scheme and exploring other outreach opportunities. 
He is originally from Kent where he attended Chatham Grammar School for Boys until 1985 and worshipped at St Mark’s Church, Gillingham until 1992. 
Before entering full time ministry Andrew worked as an Estate Agent (which he reluctantly admits to) and Property Auctioneer.  He attended the Church Army College in Sheffield and was commissioned in 1998, and is also a graduate in Theology and Religious Studies from York St John (University of Leeds), and has a Diploma in Business Administration. 
Prior to moving to Haverhill in 2010 he worked as Chaplain with the Mission to Seafarers in Colombo, Sri Lanka from 2006 and Felixstowe, Suffolk from 2001.  His Ministry has also included being Deanery Missioner in Hillingdon in the diocese of London and, prior to College was on staff at Truro Episcopal Church, Fairfax, Virginia, USA.
He is married to Gemma and they have a teenage son, Daniel 

Andrew's work is to develop strategies for reaching out in Mission to the people of Haverhill.

He is currently working with Elevenses Church (family worship), Men's fellowship, Ministry to Older People, Cafe Church on a Friday lunchtime, local schools, Chaplain to the Mayor of Haverhill,
