Wolverhampton S.Chad and S.Mark

WHO WE ARE

We are the Church of St Chad & St Mark often referred to as ‘ChadMark’ a diverse Christian community in a diverse area with people of different cultures, faiths and backgrounds living side by side.

We are seeking to follow the Way of Jesus in inner city Wolverhampton. That Way is based in the life, death and resurrection of Jesus explored in the writings of the New Testament of the Bible. One of the most beautiful passages from this are the teachings of Jesus known as The Beatitudes sung here by Sweet Honey in the Rock

We are part of a group of four churches who form the Parish of Central Wolverhampton in the Diocese of Lichfield in the Church of England a part of the worldwide Anglican Communion and are part of a growing group of churches nationally who are part of the Inclusive Church Network

We are also part of the Welcome Churches Network, welcoming refugees.

SAFEGUARDING

The parish of Central Wolverhampton is committed to the safeguarding of children, young people and adults. We follow the House of Bishops guidance and policies and have our own Parish Safeguarding Officer(s), PSOs. The Diocese of Lichfield’s safeguarding pages contain vital links and information including contacts for the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor (DSA) who advise our PSOs. If you are concerned that a child or adult has been harmed or may be at risk of harm please contact the DSA. If you have immediate concerns about the safety of someone, please contact the police and your local authority Children or Adults Services.
