Close to Wookey Hole Caves is the small Victorian church of St Mary Magdalene. We keep the church open for visitors during daylight hours, for a few moments quiet or prayer, and collect a world wide range of names in the visitors and prayer requests books.
On Sundays there is always a service, but which one, and at what time, varies on different Sundays in the month - see the notice in the porch, or phone or email for details of what service and time this Sunday - we would love to welcome you!
Built as part of the local community, along with other facilties by the Victorian mill owners, St. Mary Magdalene congregation today is still closely integrated into the life of this village community in the Mendip Hills near Wells in Somerset.
Linked with the large adjoining parish church of St Cuthbert's Wells, Wookey Hole Church provides a much smaller church context for weddings for people from Wells, as well as those living in Haybridge.
