Philippa Young and Billie Willcocks Art Exhibition (Bridport Open Studios) - Eype Eype: St Peter
Philippa’s new collection of paintings were inspired by the surrounding landscape sea and shore. The style in which she paints, whether it be impressionism or realism depends on the affect the light, atmosphere and subject has on her mood which is then evident in her paintings. Sense of place and natural forms are what inspire Billie. The textural effects of time and weather creating their own composition encourages her to collect raw material and let them create a cameo of the wild landscape.she does not plan a piece – it just evolves. The Six by Nine Exhibition Bridport Open Studio artists each submit three 6” x 9” pieces of work showcasing their art – this annual collection of original art for sale is a popular means of collecting a favoured artist or an affordable way of collecting art at entry level. The display is replenished regularly and is on show in the Chancel at Eype Centre for the Arts. There are also prints, folios and greetings cards for sale.
Every third fourth and fifth Sunday at 11:00 AM for 6 hours until Monday 29th August 2016

Concert - Sally Barker - Eype Eype: St Peter
Saturday 22nd October 2016 at 8:00 PM for 3 hours
The 'Voice' that made Sir Tom Jones cry Whether singing the songs of Sandy Denny in the reformed Fotheringay, as a member of revered fem-folk group The Poozies, a solo artist supporting Bob Dylan, Robert Plant and Richard Thompson or Tom Jones' finalist on BBC TV's The Voice Sally Barker brings any song gloriously to life. A singer/songwriter whose back catalogue encompasses folk, jazz, blues and soul, she reduced Sir Tom Jones to tears as he mentored her through to the final of The Voice 2014. She remains fiercely independent and true to her craft as she presents songs from her new 'Love Rat' ep alongside those from albums 'Maid in England', 'Another Train' and Youtube favourites 'Dear Darlin' and 'To Love Somebody' – a truly captivating performer as much at home in a folk club as on national television.
