The church building, begun in 1120 AD is one of the gems of the Church of England. Sensitively liturgically reordered, it retains its traditional character while the modern yet elegant movable seating allows the interior to be laid out in any way. In addition to the events of the Amersham Festival (http://www.amershamfestival.org/), the building is in great demand for concerts because of the excellence of its acoustic, the handiness of interior layout, and a wonderful new heating system. The church is greatly loved by the community. It is kept open during daylight hours, and almost always has visitors inside for prayer.
