 r tickets \nA rare chance to come to an Evening of medieval music taking p
 lace in the historic church of St. Michael and All Angels\, Geldeston with
  Pearl in the Egg. They have previously performed in Hampton Court \, Towe
 r of London \, Latitude and  on BBC radio amongst others!\nThe evening giv
 es us a chance to experience music that was being performed in the early d
 ays of the church from the Anglo-Saxon and Medieval periods (dating from a
 pprox. the 900-1150 and 1400-1600).  It will be played on  replicas of con
 temporary instruments  including the harp psaltery\, a rebec (an early for
 m of violin)\, an Anglo-Saxon lyre (copy of one found at Sutton Hoo)\, in 
 addition to bells\, percussion and reed instruments.  Anglo Saxon music wa
 s mostly transferred orally with only a few fragments written down and the
 se provide a basis for the music performed\, with other sources from medie
 val France and England including the Court of Elenor of Aquitaine. Adding 
 further to the authenticity\, the Pearl in the Egg players wear period cos
 tumes with a change in the second part of the programme. \nApply for ticke
