We will be reopening St Cuthbert's for Sunday worship from next Sunday 12th July.
We can accommodate 30 households safely in the church, so please would you register with Sandra Phillips on 01842 752866, if you would like to come to church. Or go to http://thetfordteamministry.org.uk/?page_id=838
Hand-sanitising stations to be used as you enter and exit the building;
A clearly marked one-way system and indications of which pews can be occupied so as to maintain social distancing;
Removing communally-used books and papers;
Keeping a record of attendees for 21 days in case it's required for 'Track & Trace' purposes.
Sadly, all singing is currently prohibited in places of worship, so for the time being all services will be simple said services. We also need to ask members of the congregation to observe the following guidelines to help keep everyone safe:
Leave promptly at the end, without speaking socially with anyone outside the group you came with (i.e. anyone from your household and one other household group, as permitted by Government advice);
Monetary donations are still encouraged online, rather than in cash, wherever possible;
The use of face coverings is voluntary.
We have also been asked to remind everyone in the clinically vulnerable (including all over-70s) and clinically extremely vulnerable groups that attending public worship, in common with any activity undertaken outside your home, necessarily brings with it an increased risk of catching COVID-19, no matter how diligent all the preparations and your fellow-worshippers have been. Whether to attend under the circumstances is entirely for each one of us to decide, as we feel comfortable.
