Church of England Diocese of Norwich Watton

Vacancies at St Mary's Church

7 Jul 2021, 11:45 a.m.

Employed by St. Mary’s Church Watton, this part-time post (18 hours p/w) is in partnership with church and community, working with clergy and volunteers to provide positive spiritual and physical wellbeing for families across Watton.

This is an exciting pioneering, part-time post with a difference! While there is a genuine occupational requirement for the FMK to be a Christian, who is active in their faith and be / become an active worshipper at St. Mary’s Watton, this post unequivocally combines church and community.

Together with partner agencies working with families, it brings together all the dimensions of emotional, physical and spiritual care for wellbeing. Working with the clergy and a great team of volunteers, the FMK will take a confident lead from current engagement at St. Mary’s Watton, as an agent of hope in this community

Employed by St. Mary's Church, Church Road, Watton, Norfolk, this part-time post is based at St. Mary's Watton, but with a possibility of playing at other surrounding churches when agreed. St Mary's has a wonderfully refurbished organ which supports the church's strong, musical tradition. A broad range of hymns and songs are used and a piano is also available.
