 fessor Emerita at UEA's school of History and Art History speak about Norw
 ich's Medieval Hermits.\n\nThis is followed by wine and soft drinks.\n\nCa
 role Rawcliffe was an editor on the History of Parliament Trust (1979-92) 
 before becoming Senior Wellcome Trust Research Fellow at UEA (1992-7). She
  was made Reader in the History of Medicine (1997)\, Professor of Medieval
  History (2002) and Professor Emeritus of Medieval History (2015).\n\nHer 
 research focuses upon the theory and practice of medicine in medieval Engl
 and\, with particular emphasis upon hospitals\, the interconnection betwee
 n sickness\, healing and religion\, and urban health.  As editor of The Hi
 story of Norwich (2004) and The Norwich Chamberlains' Accounts 1539-1545 (
 2019)\, she maintains a keen interest in the East Anglian region\, and has
  written extensively on its medical provision.  She is currently chair of 
 the Council of the Norfolk Record Society and serves on the Publications C
 ommittee of the Norwich Society.\n\nHer many other publications include Me
 dicine for the Soul (1999)\, Leprosy in Medieval England (2006) and Urban 
 Bodies (2013).  She has also co-edited collections of essays on Society in
  an Age of Plague (2012) and Policing the Urban Environment in Premodern E
 urope (2019).  She is currently engaged in projects on urban animals and o
 n late medieval approaches to fitness and health\, on which she has alread
 y published various articles.
