DESCRIPTION:If you would like to see the rebuilding work in progress for o
 ur National Lottery Heritage Fund project at our sister church\, St John t
 he Baptist Church\, we are offering 2 Hard Hat Visits at 9.30 and 11 am on
  Saturday October 24th.  This is the best time to see the 16th century spi
 re while the external cladding is off before the winter weather sets in.  
 \nParticipants must be 18 or over - and numbers are restricted\, with plac
 es available on a first come\, first served basis.  To go aloft on the tow
 er scaffolding you need a head for heights\; to be wearing jeans or trouse
 rs and sturdy\, sensible shoes\; and to be fit enough to climb 7 or 8 flig
 hts of stairs.  \nOur main contractor\, Dan Paddock\, will provide hard ha
 ts and hi-viz tabards.  Dan will be on hand answer technical questions abo
 ut the building and carpentry work\, and the Churchwarden\, Bobbie\, will 
 handle questions about the Heritage Fund project and the church history.
