This is the best time to see the 16th century spi re while the external cladding is off before the winter weather sets in. \nParticipants must be 18 or over - and numbers are restricted\, with plac es available on a first come\, first served basis. To go aloft on the tow er scaffolding you need a head for heights\; to be wearing jeans or trouse rs and sturdy\, sensible shoes\; and to be fit enough to climb 7 or 8 flig hts of stairs. \nOur main contractor\, Dan Paddock\, will provide hard ha ts and hi-viz tabards.
