Church of England Diocese of Hereford Farlow

Alert: COVID-19

The Archbishops have written to all clergy to close all of our churches for the time being. Daily Morning and Evening Prayer will continue to be read through the week, but not in the churches. The Bible readings for those are referenced on this website if you would like to follow them. There will be a Sunday Morning Prayer service also available on this website every week for you to share from your home.

All weddings and baptisms have been cancelled for the time being, and will need to be rearranged when the virus is clear. Funerals will still take place, but either in a crematorium or in a churchyard, and with attendance very strictly limited to closest family. Services of thanksgiving will be able to be held once the churches are fully open again.

These measures are all in accordance with the instructions given by government to curb the spread of Covid-19.

Please do not hesitate to contact the Rector or your Churchwardens if you feel the Church could help you, or someone you know about, during this time of uncertainty and change. If we can’t provide help ourselves, we will do our best to put you in touch with somebody who can.
