Good evening everyone,

You will have heard by this stage that the Government is introducing a new lockdown to take effect from this coming Thursday (5th November), to last 4 weeks until 2nd December.

The churches in our benefice have worked hard to get public worship up and running again over these last few months, and I would like to especially thank all involved in making this happen. It has been a real joy to worship with you, and get to know as many of you as I can.

Sadly, from this coming Thursday, public worship will once again have to stop in our churches, until the lockdown is lifted in December. This excludes Funerals, which will still be able to take place in church.

Today we met at Eaton-under-Heywood church for our last act of Sunday worship until December. We celebrated All Saints day, where we remember those who walked before us in the way of the Christian faith; women and men whose hope was found in the God they loved, even in the darkest of situations. As we enter another difficult period, let us also keep the flame of that hope alive in our hearts.

Yours in Christ,

Sam
