Church of England Diocese of Hereford Wellington

Lockdown draws to an end

29 Nov 2020, 10 a.m.

As of 2nd December, collective worship will once again be permitted in church.

There will still be restrictions and precautions that we must observe, but these now seem to have become part of everyday life anyway - rule of 6, social distancing, wearing of face masks in the church etc. But these are restrictions placed upon us by the government and in no way reflect our desire to be open and welcoming.

A full programme of services is being re-introduced as are special services to mark Christmas. These special services have been tailored to meet the limitations we are having to work under but will still include as many of the traditional elements as possible. The inability to sing presents a challenge but there may yet be a way for limited singing outside, hence the intention of having outdoor elements to the Christmas services.

Do please come and join in the celebrations.
