 One of the main parts of the service is the Psalm for the day\, which is e
 ither said aloud or sung. This is followed by readings from the Bible\, in
 cluding the joyous words of the Virgin Mary when she learned she would giv
 e birth to Jesus\, and the heartfelt words of Simeon\, when he recognises 
 the Messiah when he meets Jesus. The service ends with prayers: the Lord's
  Prayer\, the prayer for the day\, a prayer for peace and a prayer for hel
 p against troubles. There are four hymns which are sung during the service
 \, and a a short talk too.
