DESCRIPTION:Margaret Phillips will play music from the 16th to the 20th ce
 ntury on the Tudor Wingfield organ and the church organ.\nThe Wingfield or
 gan was built in 2001 by the firm of Goetze and Gwynn.  It was based on a 
 16th century soundboard found in Suffolk and other evidence from organs in
  continental Europe.  Its sound is the sound of an organ built in the 1530
 s or 1540s.\nMargaret will play several items on the Wingfield organ\, inc
 luding the Missa Dei Trinitas Sanctae by Philip ap Rhys which also has pla
 inchant.\nAfter an interval with tea and cakes (included in the ticket pri
 ce)\, Margaret will move to the church organ which was originally built by
  William Sweetland.  The programme in the second half includes music by J 
 S Bach and Klaas Bolt.\nTickets are £15 (£8 for students) which includes
  tea and cake.  They are available at the door and through the link.\nAll 
 proceeds will go to the church and the concert is in memory of Dominic Gwy
 nn who died in 2024.
