Wookey Church is collaborating with Somerset Wildlife Trust to create a sanctury for people and wildlife. This is one of a number of similar projects taking part across the Bath and Wells area, with communities taking action for nature, and is known as Wilder Churches. This project is just getting started in Wookey, in St Matthew's Churchyard, and all of the community is invited to get involved! We're keen to hear your thoughts and ideas. You can help plant wildflowers, make a bird box, make bird feeders, rejuvenate the bug hotel, have fun with a treasure hunt and find out more about this project! Refreshments will be provided, and people with greenfingers are invited to bring their tools with them to help tidy up the churchyard while maintaining a thriving place for wildlife.

This is a group prayer walk from Wookey to Henton, where we'll be praying for key areas. We're meeting at Wookey Church to start this 2 mile walk, travelling over pavements, roads and footpaths. (Please note that some of these surfaces might be uneven.) Rogation walks are traditional countryside events, to allow people to pray for blessings on their area. We'll end the walk with tea and cakes at Henton Church, and you are very welcome to come to just this part if you'd prefer. We aim to reach Henton around 4pm.
