Email to Parishioners:

As many of you will know, Astrid lost her Mum last week and is still in the Netherlands. Our thoughts and prayers are with her and her family at this time. Given that it is unclear when Astrid will be able to return - not least because of the ever-changing Covid travel restrictions I thought it would be useful to update you on resources for worship.

Astrid left sermons for us to use up to last Sunday so as these have now run out, we are being supported by the diocese in our weekly provision. I have been in contact with the Archdeacon and the Area Dean and obtained links to various online resources - many of which you possibly already use. The diocese has a YouTube and a vimeo channel for its weekly worship, which is also available on their website from Friday each week.

From Sunday 7th February Bishop Ruth will be providing a Gospel Reading and Reflection each week leading up to Easter. These will also be available on the three locations listed above.

Wells Cathedral also has reflections, a mid-week Evensong and an 11.00am Sunday Eucharist on their website each week, or if you prefer something more local, St Andrew's Church in Backwell has a YouTube Channel.

I hope that these links will be useful to you and look forward to the time when we can meet for worship again. It would be lovely to think that we could hold services this Easter as last year all churches were completely closed.
