Lent 3

The Government has now published a road map to the easing of lockdown and in view of the cautious approach they adopt, the PCC recommend that Christ Church remains closed throughout the Month of March. It is hoped that by that time we will be able to make a decision about reopening.

St Mary Portbury are hosting a service this Sunday of Morning Worship at 10.30am.

If you are unable to visit St Mary Portbury, we invite you to watch the Sunday reflection from Bath and Wells, given by Preb Dr Alison Perham.

Readings are:

Exodus Chapter 20 verses 1-17 The Ten Commandments

John Chapter 2 verses 13-22 Jesus drives the moneychangers from the Temple

In her reflection this week, Dr Alison Perham reminds us of the isolation of lockdown, comparable to Jesus time in the wilderness, but welcomes the green shoots of spring appearing, so this Easter we can welcome Jesus afresh with new insight, as we look foreward to getting back to a new and more glorious normal where God is the centre of our lives, not money or possessions.
