Church News for January

27 Dec 2020, 12:15 a.m.
<div><div style="font-weight: bold;">Ben and Kathryn:</div><div style="">At the service on 27 December, we said a sad farewell to Ben and Katherine, and presented them with a framed photograph of the Church (with your messages on the back) and a Stogumber tea-towel, plus an envelope with some cash to help with their move to Sussex. You can watch the service here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4AFpi9wANs4 (it starts 27 minutes in). </div><div style="font-weight: bold;">
</div>Christmas:</div><div>We had beautiful services of Nine Lessons and Carols and Midnight Mass as usual, though without the congregation being able to sing. And instead of the Nativity in Church, around 80 people gathered around the Beacon for the Nativity and carols. Very lovely, if cold! Lots of people brought donations for the Food Bank. The School held their Christmas service in Church, and music lessons will continue in Church thanks to Helen Napper, who also sang beautifully for Nine Lessons. Many thanks to everyone who helped with our Christmas services, and Rod Price and Rob Hayes for lighting up the Christmas tree.</div>
