The first of Duncan’s Staplegrove parish boundary walks was a great success, it was a lovely afternoon and thanks to both Duncan and Sandy for hosting tea and cakes in their back garden after the walk.
The second of these walks will be a 4-mile, (6½ km), afternoon walk on Wednesday 20 October, starting at 1:30pm from St John’s Church car park. This time we will be following as close as possible to the western boundary with Norton. Jonathan and Christine Meads from Lawn Road will be our hosts for tea and cake after the walk.
A third boundary walk will take place in the New Year.
Our November walk will be a 5-mile, (8 km) morning walk on Thursday 18th November where will we meet at The Coal Orchard for breakfast at 9:30am. After breakfast we will walk through Vivary Park then over Cotlake Hill, returning to town via Sherford. For those who wish to forego breakfast we can meet you at the bandstand in Vivary Park at a time to be arranged.
As always, these walks are proving very popular so to manage numbers you must get in touch either by email or phone to book a place.
