Church of England Diocese of Bath & Wells Staplegrove

From the Rectory (reflection from a Church Warden)

Welcome Back

Who would of thought that when Stephen left in February we would have 6 months of the most dramatic circumstances in all our lifetimes.

With so many restrictions and rules to follow, associated with Covid 19 and still very much with us, it has affected all of us in so many ways.

We must all look for the positives emanating from this period, the caring touch from so many of our own community, collecting and delivering groceries and medications, paying bills at Post Offices and Banks, inpromtu phone calls and the like.

The whole lockdown period of the pandemic has revealed just how much we all need each other. We must hope and pray, that we all become a more caring and tolerant society.

Sadly, in this period we have lost three of our Staplegrove family, namely,

Marion Coombes wife of Stafford, and Pat Carrington wife of the late Charlie Carrington. Also, John Paull husband of Jenny Paull, please keep them all in your thoughts and prayers at this time.

As we all look forward to more normal times, we must pray that a Vaccine is found, to bring us peace of mind, and a release from the many punitive measures we have to endure each day.

God bless you all, stay safe, stay well.
