However we looked at it we could only accommodate 40 people in Church for our October services and it was difficult having to turn people away when the booking limit was reached. It was a poor substitute to singing our hearts out to all the well-known Harvest hymns at our Harvest Festival but by downloading some choral versions of these hymns, playing through the Church audio system, and following the verses in the hymn books, it at least gave us some semblance of a Festival atmosphere. Thanks to all who made the services possible.
We understand the need for us to be in ‘lock-down’ once again, it is with great sadness that we have not been able to provide the services we had planned during November and it may well be that there will be changes to December services as well, but that will all be decided at a later date. Once again, details will be available on the website, on the Churchyard notice board, or by calling the Benefice Office phone number.
Thanks to everyone who supported our Harvest Gift Day it is very much appreciated in these difficult times. At the time of writing, donations have reached £2,300. If you would still like to support the Harvest Gift Day appeal, there is no time limit for receiving donations, they can be passed on to Chris Young, our Stewardship Secretary or pay by BACS to:
