Church of England Diocese of Blackburn Hoddlesden Saint Paul's

St. Paul's APCM Annual Parish Church Meeting

16 Oct 2020, 10 a.m.

We are doing ok. God is Good. We are a growing church who has good relationships with our school and community.

We normally meet in the school but presently Zoom each Sunday at 10am. For those who struggle with technology we have set up The Reach for socially distanced Zoom worship. On Tuesday evening we Zoom our Alpha group at 8pm.

In normal times we have Knit and natter, Bible study, Sunday school and a diary of events. Our relationship with the school means we hold Spirituality Days termly and school classes regularly help to lead our Sunday worship. We lead the Hoddlesden Remembrance Service in the village and enjoy leading the Carol Singing in the Ranken Arms.

The Reach is our meeting room attached to the Vicarage garden which we use for small group events and worship. It has a small kitchen and a toilet.

In school we generally averaged 50 worshippers with often 100+ when the school was present or for special Sundays and Festivals.

We have a regular attendance at our Zoom of 25 screens with 60/70 joining in Worship and more for special days.
