DESCRIPTION:Bishop Philip North (the Bishop of Blackburn) will be leading 
 a Confirmation Service at St Matthew’s on 10 March 2026. This will be an
  opportunity for both adults and children (in school year 6 and above) to 
 get confirmed). \nConfirmation is an opportunity to publicly affirm your f
 aith in Jesus Christ. During the Confirmation Service the bishop will lay 
 hands on each candidate and pray for an outpouring of the Holy Spirit. \nB
 efore getting confirmed candidates prepare themselves by meeting with othe
 rs to discuss the key beliefs of the Christian faith. \nConfirmation Prepa
 ration sessions for Under18s will take place from 6.30pm-8.00pm in the Chu
 rch Hall (please note change of venue) on Tuesdays 20th & 27th January\, 3
 rd\, 10th & 24th February and 3rd March. \n\nPlease contact Rev Kat if you
