 ixed with oil) in the sign of a cross on their forehead.\nLent is the 40-d
 ay period leading up to Easter marked with fasting and other forms of refl
 ection. It reflects the 40 days Jesus spent fasting in the wilderness befo
 re beginning his public ministry.\nOur Ash Wednesday service at St Matthew
 ’s will include Bible readings\, prayers\, a short talk and Holy Communi
 on. \nAll are welcome.
