Church Reopens for Private Prayer

Occuring
Every Wednesday and Sunday at for 6 hours
Venue
St Michael & All Angels
Address
Church Street Croston, PR26 9HA, United Kingdom

The good news is that we are reopening all our churches in the United Benefice of Croston, Bretherton & Mawdesley with Bispham from Wed. 24th June on Sundays and Wednesdays from 10:00 till 16:00.
This is for personal private prayer and funerals only and we are not yet able to recommence any form of communal worship, it is possible that some sort of worship with restricted numbers may be possible in July? If you do decide to visit one of our churches for personal prayer please follow the instructions in each Church, use the sanitiser provided and be aware of others and move safely through the church maintaining appropriate social distancing (ideally 2 metres). You will not be able to use any of the bibles, booklets or hymn books – so you may wish to bring something to assist you with prayer.

St Michael & All Angels

St Michael & All Angels, Croston is a friendly but ancient Parish Church situated in the beautiful village of Croston and you will find the church open most Wednesdays and Sundays and we have a beautiful Arboretum with a 'Gruffalo' and childrens play equipment behind the church.  There is also a short riverside walk which leads to the delightful Croft field.

We are committed to serving God and our local community here and our vision is to be:

“At the heart of our village community  spreading the Good News of Jesus Christ”

We are part of the United Benefice of Croston, Bretherton & Mawdesley w Bispham. We hope you find this site helpful and interesting. We would be delighted to talk to you about our church life and to welcome you into the congregation.

Safeguarding

Safeguarding of Children & Adults in the Church
Safeguarding children, young people and vulnerable adults is the responsibility of every one of us. It is central to our mission and ministry and is integral in the Blackburn Diocesan Vision which asks us to consider how to make our church communities healthier’
Our parish of Croston: St Michael & All Angels is committed to safeguarding children, young people and adults from harm. We follow the House of Bishops guidance and policies and have our own Parish Safeguarding Officer (PSO). Our Diocese of Blackburn’s safeguarding pages contain vital links and information including contacts for the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor who advises our PSO.
If you are concerned that a child or adult has been harmed or may be at risk of harm please contact the PSO [currently the Rector is Acting as safeguarding Officer] or the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor [Cath Smith tel: 07711485170, email: [email protected]]
