From 19 July 2021, most legal restrictions in England have been lifted. However, despite an incredibly effective roll out of the vaccination programme, we know that some people remain clinically vulnerable despite being vaccinated, and some people will feel uneasy about leaping with both feet into a world without precautions, and case numbers in our city have remained high in recent weeks.
We are taking what we think is a sensible and pragmatic approach to the lifting of precautions.
Guidance from Sunday 8th August 2021
We encourage people to continue to wear face coverings in Church unless they are exempt. This not only to protect yourself, but to protect other vulnerable members of our community.
Chairs have been returned to rows in Church, but some single seating retained for those who would prefer. Social distancing should be maintained and encouraged where ever possible.
Congregational singing will be permitted.
Communion in one kind will continue to be distributed from the front of Church, and the hand sanitiser stations will be retained throughout the building.
Tea and coffee will be available after the service, subject to disposable cups being used or please bring your own mug which you will need to take home to wash yourself.
NHS Test and Trace recording will still continue, so please can you continue to use the QR code if you use the App, or enter your contact details on the manual register as you enter.
