About Us
Westlea Church is a small fellowship of 29 members that meets every Sunday morning in the hall at Westlea Primary School. There is regular attendance of about 25 adults and 5 children.
We are composed largely of families with older children; a few people of retirement age; several whose spouse or family do not attend; and a few singles and younger couples.
We worship in a free church style, but using liturgical input from all of the traditions. We use the NIV Bible for readings, and have songs and hymns projected on a screen. We use 'Songs of Fellowship’ (1-6 collection, 2016). Whilst members come from all denominations, we also have significant numbers of Christians with no denominational background. We have active ‘Sunday Club’ groups for ages from toddlers to teenage, though we struggle to find enough people to run all the groups every week.
