Daily Scripture:

"Yours, O Lord, are the greatness, the power, the glory, the victory, and the majesty; for all that is in the heavens and on the earth is yours; yours is the kingdom, O Lord, and you are exalted as head above all."  (1 Chronicles 29:11)

Daily Reflection:

‘Yours is the kingdom’ says King David - about his kingdom.

Our village, we say, our church, our country, our planet. And pray ‘Your kingdom come’.

David Attenborough last January told world leaders “The Garden of Eden is no more. Human activity has changed the world so much that scientists say we are now in a new geological age”. For 12,000 years following the Ice Age there has climatic stability. No longer: we have tipped the world into the Age of Humans, the Anthropocene.

“Your kingdom come” is a prayer for each of us and the ‘kings’ of this world to live in awe at creation and our creator; to be stewards, not exploiters; to serve, not to be served.
