Daily Scripture

"Bear with one another and, if anyone has a complaint against another, forgive each other; just as the Lord has forgiven you, so you also must forgive." (Colossians 3:13)

Daily Reflection:

That’s a lot of forgiving we need to be doing with one another!...... “Just as the Lord has forgiven you, so you also must forgive.” Now you might well be thinking something like: “That’s all very well, but you don’t know what so-and-so did to me/said to me; they don’t deserve to be forgiven. I can never forgive them!” That is often the case; my guess though is that they have moved on. They might not even be aware of the hurt they have left behind. There are usually only two people who are still hurting because you are holding onto resentment, because you haven’t forgiven: that is you…… and God. This is the hardest thing we are called to do as Christians – to forgive someone who has hurt us. But remember: God will forgive you.
