There will be a series of studies on the Eucharist at the Rectory\, 1 Arthuret Drive\, CA6 5SG. It will be over a period of 6 weeks either on Mondays 1.15-2.30 pm. starting 15th May or on Wednesdays 7.30 – 9.00 pm. starting 17th May (our website cannot cope with two gro ups on different days!). \n\nIt will be based on:\n\nPilgrim Grow (2014): The Eucharist (Pilgrim Course) Church House Publishing\nby Robert Atwell\ , Steven Croft\, Stephen Cottrell\, Paula Gooder (Author)\n\nI will have a spare for session 1 so that you can see whether you want to get it. It is n’t expensive. I will send you all the materials you need for session 1 beforehand.\n\nEach session has the following structure:\n\n • Theme – delivered as a short video\n • Opening prayers\n • Conversat ion starter\n • Scripture reading\, as Lectio Divina (reading a passa ge slowly and prayerfully a number of times and seeing what pops out)\, an d reflection (which is both in the booklet and as an audio recording) \n • Reflection on the theme from a contemporary Christian writer (in boo klet and via audio)\n • Questions for discussion\n • Journeying on: homework for next week\n • Closing Prayer\n • Wisdom for the Journey – extracts from the writings of the Church Fathers and other wr iters for us to think about\n\n\nIf you are interested in coming please le ave a message with Paul Smith on 013873 81254 or pjs1269@gmail.com so that we know how many chairs to put out and biscuits to get in.
