Coronation
I pray that you will all enjoy some fun and activity over the coming days because of the Coronation. There seems to be something going on in many places across the benefice.
Sunday services for 6 May
There is a family service at All Saints, Calthwaite at 9.30. Mark will be presiding at Holy Communion in Christ & St Mary’s, Armathwaite (9.30) and St Michael’s, Skelton (11am). All services will have a special Coronation theme.

Tuesday – Morning Prayer at 10.30 from the comfort of your own armchair using Zoom. Contact [email protected] for details.
Wednesday – Morning Prayer at 10am in All Saints, Calthwaite.
Thursday – Morning Prayer at 8am in St Michael’s, Skelton & Moring Prayer at 9am* in St John the Evangelist, Plumpton. (*different to advertised)
Our local primary school children are doing their Key Stage 2 SATs this week. Please keep all the children, and especially the Y6 pupils in your prayers in the coming days.
During 2023 there have been some mid-week study groups and a prayer meeting. Please email me if you would be interested in being part of something like this throughout the coming months.

Something New On May 14 there will a special guest at All Saints, Calthwaite at 3pm. Compassion UK will be here to share with us their work in bringing the Good News story to communities in countries across the world. Please join us for an hour of worship & fellowship. Our service in June will be a special commissioning service at St Michael’s, Skelton as Jim & Kathryn officially become Anna Chaplains
Ascension Day service – 18th May at St Michael & All Angels, Ainstable at 7pm
Mission Community Service – Please have a look at the following page. Those of you who joined us at last years’ service had a great time. Let’s put the word out and aim to get more people along in 2023.

Come and join churches from the Blencathra Mission Community for a Family Open Air Service, with live music, BBQ, ice cream van and fun for the kids.
