As Ash Wednesday & the Lent season draws close I thought I would share information & make some requests.

There will a service on Ash Wednesday (March 2) at High Hesket Church with the imposition of ashes. This will begin at 7pm

'Embracing Justice' by Isabelle Hamley is the Archbishop of Canterbury's choice of Lent book for 2022. The box of books I ordered has been snapped up but if anyone would still like a copy if you let me know I can try and get more.

A Zoom group seems to be the most popular idea among those with copies of the book.

Looking at my diary throughout Lent could I ask that we meet on Sunday evenings for an hour of online book group to chat through the suggested questions. We will commence on 6 March at 7.30 to look at Ch 1 Paradise Lost: In search of original justice. 13/3 - Ch 2 (From bondage to freedom: Exodus & liberation stories)20/3 - Ch 3 (Building communities of justice: Legal systems)27/3 - Ch 4 (Justice & Incarnation: Restoring the image of God)3/4 - Ch 5 (Justice in the shape of a cross)10/4 - Ch 6 (Do this to remember me: Holy Communion and the reshaping of the imagination

Reading the book would be an obvious help but the sessions will be open to everyone. OR if anyone is interested in meeting together in a home or church please do get in touch with me ASAP.
