 ded.\n\nA chip in the sugar tells the story of Graham – a middle-aged ma
 n who lives with his mother. Their comfortable existence is shaken to the 
 core when Graham’s mother meets an old flame who proposes marriage.\nIn 
 A bed among the lentils\, we meet Susan – an alcoholic Vicar’s wife wh
 o\, through escaping her insensitive husband and her debts at the local of
 f-licence\, begins an affair with an Indian grocer.\n\nMany of you will re
 member Rev. Sandy Lofthouse\, who frequently preached at Crosscrake when T
 erry moved away. Sandy’s son John was married in our church and was a we
 ll-known baritone singer in the area until he moved south. He has generous
 ly offered to bring his production of two of Alan Bennett’s ‘Talking H
 eads’ for our entertainment. This production has been very popular at ve
 nues in the south of England and comes highly recommended.\n\nPlease suppo
 rt this event in aid of church funds.
