 o gather for our Benefice Maundy Thursday Meal and Communion at St Mary’
 s at 6.30pm.\n\nOn this night\, the meal and the service are one single ac
 t of worship. We will begin by sharing a simple meal together — lasagne 
 (meat and vegetarian)\, salad\, pittas\, and wine (with non-alcoholic opti
 ons available). As we eat\, we will listen to scripture and sing together.
  Our evening will then continue naturally into Holy Communion\, before we 
 end with the stripping of the altars\, remembering the night before Jesus
 ’ crucifixion.\n\nBecause of the nature of Maundy Thursday\, the meal is
  not separate from the service — it is part of the service itself. We th
 erefore encourage everyone who comes to arrive for the beginning and share
  in the whole evening together.\n\nTo help us plan\, a sign-up sheet is av
 ailable at the back of church\, though you are very welcome to come along 
 on the night even if you haven’t signed up.\n\nIf you are able to cook o
 r bring something to contribute\, that would be wonderful. We would partic
 ularly welcome:\nLasagne (meat or vegetarian)\nSalads\nPittas\nBottles of 
 wine\nAll contributions will be joyfully received.\n\nWe want this to be a
  meal where everyone can take part\, so if you have dietary needs or conce
 rns about food\, please do let us know and we will make sure there is some
