COVID SAFE PRACTICES in ESKDALE’S CHURCHES

We do take care to ensure that our churches are regularly cleaned and that seating is organised to be ‘socially Distanced’

We do welcome visitors but we ask that they recognise Covid-safe practices, for the benefit of everybody.

A risk assessment has been undertaken at both St Catherines and St Begas and will be available from the main Benefice site: www.eskdalebenefice.org.uk

Until further Notice

1

(a) anyone wishing to attend a service must wear a mask, observe hand hygiene

and social distancing requirements, complete NHS tracing paperwork and note that numbers may be limited by available seating.

(b) that anyone who is clinically vulnerable or has any covid type symptoms should not attend;

(c) for weddings, funerals and baptisms Government restrictions apply to numbers of attendees.

2

(a) that both churches will, unless specifically notified be cleaned and appropriately disinfected following/between services

(b) that both churches have only one access/exit point so that, consequently, we are not able to follow the CofE recommendations for separate entrance and exit points;

(c) that depending on weather conditions we reserve the right to limit ventilation measures.
