 as we celebrate Harvest Festival. The farms in Eskdale mainly look after t
 he native Herdwick sheep and cattle\, rather than arable farming. The Harv
 est Festival today celebrates and gives thanks for the hard work of the fa
 rmers and their families tending their livestock throughout the year\, fac
 ing all weathers and other challenges\, to provide us with food and wool.
