DESCRIPTION:This Sunday is Remembrance Sunday\, and we will gather at St B
arnabas at 10.30am for Holy Communion\, as we remember those who have lost
their lives in war and conflict\, those who have served\, and all whose l
ives have been forever changed by the consequences of war.\n\nRemembrance
Sunday offers us a moment to pause\, to give thanks for the courage and sa
crifice of others\, and to reflect on the preciousness of peace. It is als
o a time to hold in prayer those who continue to live with the effects of
conflict\, both around the world and closer to home.\nAs Christians\, we r
emember not only with gratitude and sorrow\, but also with hope. Our faith
calls us to be peacemakers\, to seek reconciliation where there is divisi
on\, and to trust in God's promise that darkness and death will never have
the final word.\nWe will remember them.
