You may have heard on the news that church services are being suspended until further notice as the Church accepts the recommendations of the Government and acknowledges its responsibility in helping to counteract the spread of Coronavirus and limit social interaction. Obviously this is a sad decision to make, but it is the right one. As it is Mothering Sunday this weekend (22nd) St John's Church will be open from 10 am - 12 noon for private prayer, quiet reflection and to light a candle. Obviously we ask you to respect social distancing advice and you will be requested to use sanitizer or wash hands on entry and egress from the church. We will keep you informed of other occasions when the church will be open for private prayer. This also means that Messy Church, Play and Pray, Cameo and Cameo Plus will be suspended, in the same way as we have suspended Open Church on Tuesday morning. As a ministry team, and as a church, we continue to pray for our community during this difficult period. We will endeavour to post short spiritual reflections to help you. Do use messenger or FB if you need prayer or support, or go on the Church-near-you website page for information and contact details - search St John the Evangelist, Lostock Gralam. Alternatively use the contact details for The Vicarage and Revd Andrew Ridley 0160642943 or Graham on 0160642940. We will regularly provide updates on this page including times when the church will be open for personal and private prayer.
