Please be aware that guidance on church opening is being updated frequently. We will do our best to ensure that information provided here is up to date. You are asked to read the safety notice before you come to the church. It is attached below.

Following the coronavirus lockdown in 2020, Swettenham church will now be open daily from 9am to 6pm, for private prayer. However, it is advisable to check with Geoff Leech, Church Warden, if you aim to visit, in case the church is closed on the day you want to go. Geoff can be reached on ‭07831 808532.

At the moment, we cannot open for tourism.

Services started again in early July 2020 and from September, will be held every Sunday. See the Services and Events page. The services sheet is News and Notices  page.

Social distancing will be required, as are face coverings, and we will take care to help maintain hygiene. There will be music when possible, but no hymn singing.

Services for people who are shielding will be held at Hulme Walfield Church. Please see their calendar

We are able to have funeral services in church again, but with strict guidelines on social distancing. This will be communicated to families and attendance will be by invitation only so that we know that we can have a safe number present.

For safety, churches will be locked for 72 hours after a funeral.

We can now hold weddings and baptisms, again with strict adherence to social distancing guidelines, and will be by invitation.
