A message from our Vicar:

Dear Friends,

It's been a long time apart, but with the continuing good news about dropping infections, fewer hospitalisations, and so many now vaccinated, as the country opens up again so will our churches. And we really look forward to seeing old friends and new - so hope to see you all very soon. Details below!

Being an 'online only' church has been far from perfect - but huge thanks to all who have made it possible, and to all of you who have participated and kept our shared life of prayer going, both on Zoom and YouTube. We've learned lots from this time and hopefully will be able to keep all the good bits.

We won't be back in every church every week right away, but will be working in that direction. For now each parish church will have a service every other week. Keep an eye on our Rural Daneside app (see the separate page) for details each week, or go to the services and events page. We start this Sunday with services at Eaton and Marton (9.45am and 11am). One service each week will still be available on Zoom and later on YouTube for those who can't come that week, who are housebound, or who have reason to be especially cautious. We intend to continue this as long as it is helpful and perhaps permanently. And do remember that it is possible to join the services using an ordinary phone line if you wish.

Of course, restrictions still apply to the way we conduct our services. Social distancing still applies, and masks must be worn inside church. We can't sing (at least while we are indoors) so will perhaps be outdoors more often than usual as weather allows.

Most importantly, please come back! We look forward to seeing you and rebuilding our community life, even stronger than before. We will be finding new ways to do things, and new patterns, to take this opportunity to make our church events and services things that everyone will enjoy and feel part of. If I can borrow a phrase - let's build back better!

Looking forward to seeing you very soon,

Ian.
