Stations of the Cross is part of the traditions of Holy Week which we are delighted to be able to reintroduce at Swettenham. We will journey together around the church, pausing for a brief reflection at each of 14 paintings which illustrate Christ's passion. The story will come to life in a new way for us, as we become bystanders on Christ's journey from his accusation and condemnation, through his crucifixion and burial, ending with the resurrection.
This journey is intended for older teenagers upwards - for younger disciples we have a simplified six-station journey at Marton church, which all the children of Marton school will have the chance to experience accompanied by the clergy.
